Haier wall-mounts track energy consumption

ITALY: Haier has announced the launch of its new Serene series of wall-mounted indoor air conditioning units with embedded energy management.

Available in matt white and matt black finishes, the Serene series is the first wall-mounted indoor unit with embedded energy management, giving users real-time insights into their consumption.

With an A+++/A++ energy rating across the range, the Serene is said to deliver top-tier air comfort while minimising power consumption. Paired with 3-Level Eco Mode and an intelligent Eco Sensor, it automatically adjusts performance to match lifestyle.

Users can monitor live energy consumption via their smartphone, access detailed reports for optimised efficiency and cost savings, and proactively adjust settings based on AI insights. This new feature empowers homeowners to take control of their energy footprint.

Using AI-powered radar function, Serene detects human presence across three zones (120° coverage). Unlike conventional sensors, Haier’s AI is said to learn movement patterns and intelligently adjust airflow direction and temperature in real time.

The indoor unit’s humidity sensor works with the AI system to adjust compressor frequency, fan speed, and refrigerant temperature. By continuously analysing room temperature, humidity patterns, and environmental data, the AI system instantly triggers cooling mode, reducing heat and humidity.

Serene features connection to Haier’s hOn app to enable full control of temperature settings and advanced functionalities.

Cold compression technology and Haier’s 56°C Steri-Clean heats the evaporator for 30mins at a high temperature to kill bacteria and viruses for proactive hygiene care. Whilst the newest integrated UVC Plus technology combines UV light and hydroxyl radicals to sterilise the air and neutralise odours effectively. Additionally, the optional smart dehumidification function offers perfect humidity control levels for added comfort.
