Heim offers R290 domestic heat pump

SWITZERLAND: Heim AG has launched a brine-water heat pump operated with R290 (propane) for single or multi-family houses.

Developed with co-operation from the Institute for Energy Systems and Fluid Engineering (IEFE) at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences, the SWM Pro uses just 0.6kg of R290. 

The claims to have overcome the flammability risk with its specially-designed “H” housing forming a shell to an explosion-proof refrigeration circuit. 

Produced in three sizes with heating capacities from 2 to 30kW, the SWM Pro boasts flow temperatures up to 78°C and a wide modulation range.
