Ideal adds R290 heat pump

UK: Ideal Heating has introduced its first monobloc heat pump using R290 (propane).

Available in six capacities from 4.5kW to 14kW, the HP290 is said to have been designed to be simple to install and maintain and, when paired with Ideal’s pre-plumbed hot water cylinder and Halo Lite RF thermostat, provides a complete low carbon heating package.

Sound power levels are down to 56dB(A) with the 4.5kW units to 69dB(A) for the 14kW model.

Compatible with radiator and underfloor heating, the range offers flow temperatures up to 75°C and SCOPs up to 5.07.

Fitted with smart weather compensating controls, the HP290 is also smart grid and solar PV compatible.
