Leak detector promises ultimate sensitivity

USA:  Ritchie Engineering claims the ultimate in sensitivity, accuracy and reliability for its new Yellow Jacket AccuProbe IR leak detector.

This new leak detector is said to be capable of detecting all CFC, HCFC, HFC and HFO refrigerants with a minimum sensitivity of 3g/year.

The SmartAlarm LED shows the size of the leak on a rising scale. Coupled with two modes for sensitivity, the AccuProbe IR is said to be capable of locating a leak of any size.

Measuring 210mm with a probe length of 430mm, the new unit weighs 0.38kg.

The rechargeable li-ion battery has an 8-hour life and can be fully recharged in 3 hours.
