MHI launches full model update

JAPAN: Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Thermal Systems has completely redesigned its standard wall-mounted air conditioners for overseas markets.

The new models, launched as the ZT Series, will be available in 2kW, 2.5kW, 3.5kW or 5W capacity classes starting this spring in Europe, followed by Turkey.

The ZT Series features a refreshed design and is available in a choice of white, black, and titanium and black, while for the first time outdoor units will be available in black, as well as the traditional white finish.

The indoor units maintain their existing size while promising enhanced heat exchange efficiency through improvements to the heat exchanger, airflow path, and fan design. The outdoor unit’s compressor has also been upgraded.

These enhancements are said to increase the SEER during the cooling season by approximately 12% compared to previous models. Additionally, the units maintain rated heating capacity even under harsh conditions with outdoor temperatures as low as -10°C.

Optimised airflow design allows the unit to project conditioned air approximately 11m. Furthermore, an ultra-low mode achieves an operating sound level of 19dB(A).

The units are equipped with an allergen clear filter and an internal cleaning function.

From an operational perspective, all units come standard with built-in wireless LAN functionality, enabling remote control via the dedicated Smart M-Air app on smartphones and other devices.

The app also visualises power consumption and operational efficiency, and a new graph function has been introduced to provide clearer displays of operational status and power usage.
