Panasonic AC brings the outdoor indoor

UK: Panasonic’s RAC Solo is a standalone air conditioner without an outdoor unit and installed with two ducts through the exterior wall.

Previewed at Chillventa in October, the Solo is available in four models, with cooling capacities of 1.7kW, 2kW, 2.5kW and 3kW and heating capacities from 1.7kW to 2.75kW. The smaller model uses R290 and the larger units R32.

Operating ranges are -5ºC to 43ºC cooling and -15ºC to 18ºC heating.

Designed for simple installation, the Solo is just 165mm deep and  boasts a fully metal chassis.

The two 162mm diameter ducts (202 mm for the largest capacity) feature self-closing outdoor grilles.
