UK: Institute of Refrigeration president elect Steve Gill has welcomed the revival of the Birmingham Society of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (BSRA).

Recently relaunched by Paul Singh and an enthusiastic new committee, the BSRA held a joint network meeting with the IoR last night at the University of Birmingham. The evening’s activities included an evening paper presentation by Ted Perry Student Research Award winner Angeles Rivero Pacho.

“Regional industry groups and  meetings have fallen away over the past few years for various reasons, so it is heartening to see such interest in the relaunch of the BSRA,” said Steve Gill. “We are experiencing unprecedented rapid change in this industry due to changes in refrigerants, and the best way to spread information will be through sharing experience knowledge locally, so I foresee this as an opportunity to revive local meetings,” he added.
