Clivet heat pump receives Quiet Mark certification

UK: Clivet’s has been awarded Quiet Mark certification for its Edge Pro air-source heat pump range.
Quiet Mark is an independent certification programme associated with the UK’s Noise Abatement Society. It identifies and certifies the quietest high-performance products and building materials available on the market.
The certification follows laboratory testing and assessment by the Quiet Mark acoustic assessment and verification board and has been awarded across the Edge Pro range.
The Edge Pro has been engineered to achieve this by incorporating a silent-box around the compressor, larger fans capable of operating at lower rotational speeds and a vibration-damping structure. These have helped Edge Pro achieve sound levels up to 10dB(A) lower than previous generations.
Quiet Mark’s assessment considers heat pumps on a like-for-like basis, comparing units of comparable sizes rather than treating all heat pumps as a single category.
The 2.1 to 8.1 models of the Edge Pro range offer A+++ heating efficiency at 35°C and can produce water at temperatures up to 80°C. Heating capacities are from 4.1kW to 15.5kW, with cooling capacities from 4.5kW to 15kW.
