UK: Chiller supplier Cool-Therm Ltd has opened a new Midlands office at the University of Wolverhampton Science Park.

Headed by area sales manager Martin Sharman, Cool-Therm says the new office will provide a base for the continuing development of its activities in the Midlands, enabling it to expand and further improve its service to customers.

Following the recent revision of the F-Gas Regulation, Cool-Therm’s Midlands office has reported a surge in interest in natural and low GWP chillers, with orders received for new generation HFO-based chillers and hydrocarbon-based systems.

Cool-Therm is best known for its joint development of the award-winning Turbomiser, however the latest projects use reciprocating compressor technology, running on alternative refrigerants.

Ken Strong, managing director, said: “The new Midlands location within the University Science Park puts us at the heart of technological development in the region. It is an excellent fit for our high-tech cooling systems, and gives the growing business in the region the scope for expansion it needs over the coming year and beyond.”
