Dean & Wood to switch AC suppliers

UK: In a deal which will see the end of its UK distribution deals with Mitsubishi Electric, Beijer Ref UK is to concentrate sales on MHI air conditioning equipment.

Dean & Wood Ltd will switch brands from Mitsubishi Electric in the new year and Air Creation, the company originally formed in 2008 specifically to sell Mitsubishi Electric VRF air conditioning equipment, will merge into 3DPlus, the recently created Mitsubishi Heavy Industries joint venture business.

“Positioning MHI as lead air conditioning supplier to Dean & Wood is a natural step for our business following the partnership in our joint venture 3DPlus,” said Beijer Ref UK & Ireland MD John Billson. Both HRP and RW have experienced spectacular sales growth with MHI during 2018 and the time is now right for Dean & Wood to enjoy the same freedom in the market.”

Beijer Ref AB formed the joint venture with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in March of this year. It followed MHI’s split from UK distributor AMP after the latter’s purchase by rival air conditioning manufacturer Panasonic.

The Beijer Ref group continues to sell Mitsubishi Electric air conditioning equipment in other parts of the world.
