Haier R32 VRF for the European market

ITALY: Haier HVAC Solutions Europe has announced a new R32 VRF system specifically tailored for the European market.

The MRV7 S is said to be suitable for a diverse array of applications across vertical markets and is available in 4,5 and 6hp single fan and 8,10 and 12hp double fan, both with front discharge.

Haier’s inclusion of a suite of innovative technologies optimise efficiencies and operational costs as it transitions its MRV range from R410A to R32, with an additional 17% energy efficiency boost.

The MRV7 S is engineered with a multi-zone leak detection system, providing comprehensive safety through built-in leak detectors in all indoor units. The system also incorporates visual and audible alarms within the new controllers. For added flexibility, an optional automatic shut-off valve can be installed, supported by a battery-powered emergency function, which is especially useful during power outages.

This feature also allows for zone segregation, enabling the valve to isolate refrigerant and prevent leaks.

The use of twin-rotary DC inverter compressors boosts efficiency and reduces noise, while a high efficiency step-less axial fan is engineered to move large volumes of air with minimal power consumption.

The MRV7 S boasts a scalable and modular architecture, and is said to offer broad compatibility with a variety of indoor unit types, including wall-mounted, cassette, and ducted units, alongside extended pipe lengths up to 400m.

It incorporates Space-Link technology, a novel protocol moving away from the traditional chain method that provides installers with unparalleled flexibility in wiring the communications network. According to Haier, this results in simplified wiring, faster installation times, and reduced cabling needs.

Commissioning is made easier through the MRV7 S’s automatic addressing function. This automatically assigns unique addresses to each indoor unit, eliminating the need for manual configuration – a particular advantage for larger VRF systems with numerous indoor units.

Self-clean functions are included for both indoor and outdoor units.

The new R32 MRV indoor units are all backward compatible with R410A refrigerant, reducing complexity from logistics to installation.

The controller has been given a communication protocol upgrade, with a smart interface which is also compatible with both R32 and R410A indoor units.
