ISS acquires GSH UK and Euro business

UK: Facilities firm ISS UK has acquired the UK, Ireland and European operations of engineering firm GSH Group.
ISS is a leading global provider of facility services. In the UK and Ireland it supports the core activities of numerous clients in private and public sector organisations. GSH is an established provider of energy management, compliance and technical services in the UK and across Europe.
GSH will retain its activities in India and the USA. ISS currently supports clients in some of the largest data centres and other critical environments in the financial and manufacturing industries.
GSH achieved revenues of approximately £135m last year and employs around 800 staff. According to ISS, this strategic move will create a significantly enhanced delivery capability with over 1,800 technicians across the entire region.
In a statement, ISS said: “The acquisition will provide both ISS and GSH’s customers with greater breadth of coverage and service. We will continue to drive towards a more integrated self-delivery solution in the ISS quest to become the ‘World’s Greatest Service Organisation’.”
“This is a strategic acquisition by ISS and will further enhance our technical capabilities both in the UK and by acting as a springboard to enhance our European expertise,” commented ISS UK and Ireland CEO Richard Sykes.
