Murray Sharp 1966-2022

UK: The UK industry is shocked to learn of the death of Murray Sharp, MD of air conditioning and refrigeration distributor Kooltech on Friday (August 19). He was 55.

Announcing his passing on LinkedIn, Kooltech commercial sales director Jonathan Brown said he would be sorely missed by everyone in the Kooltech family and the industry as a whole.

“Murray was such an inspiration to so many people; what he’s achieved is remarkable, he also made many peoples lives so much better,” Brown said.

Murray Sharp, son of Kooltech’s founder John Sharp, took over as MD in 2003, and three years later acquired the company in an MBO.

In less than 24 hours of Jonathan Brown’s announcement, well over 100 colleagues and friends from across the industry had posted condolences to his LinkedIn post.
