OCS Group to buy Emcor UK building services
29th September 2025
UK: US M&E company Emcor is to sell its UK building services segment to facilities services company OCS Group UK for around £190m.
In fiscal year 2024, Emcor UK generated approximately £318m in revenue and £21.5m in operating income. Profit before tax was £113,000.
OCS said that the proposed acquisition will broaden its capabilities and increase its presence across the UK and Ireland, particularly in engineering and technical services.
“With the sale of Emcor UK, we are accelerating our ‘local execution, national reach’ strategy to further focus our business across our large, diverse and attractive end markets in the United States, where we continue to see significant opportunity,” said EMCOR, chairman, president and CEO Tony Guzzi.
“We have a lot of momentum in the business and intend to use the proceeds from this sale to expand our electrical and mechanical construction and mechanical services businesses, including through disciplined acquisitions, to provide customers with more comprehensive service offerings.”
OCS is a £3bn integrated facilities management company employing more than 130,000 worldwide. Headquartered in the UK, OCS operates nationwide and in Ireland, with a broad international footprint across Asia Pacific and the Middle East.
Rob Legge, OCS Group CEO, commented: “By bringing together our two organisations, we are creating a company with deep technical capability, strong sector expertise, and a relentless focus on customer experience.”
