Williams donates fridge to local food bank

Tracey Dean (left) and Friends of Eastgate Academy chair Karen Mason take delivery of the cabinet from Williams’ quality control manager Bawo Koroma

UK: Kings-Lynn-based Williams Refrigeration has donated one of its Jade commercial refrigerator cabinets to a local charitable food bank.

The Friends of Eastgate Academy, a charity linked to the Eastgate Academy primary school in Williams’ home town, runs a a food bank aimed at helping those in need, but had been without access to refrigeration.

Tracey Dean, one of the members of Friends of Eastgate Academy, reached out to Williams for help.

Keen to assist charitable efforts in its local community, Williams organised for the delivery of the 620-litre capacity Jade cabinet.

The cabinet will enable the food bank to keep a range of fresh products and allow them to provide a greater variety of healthy food to those who rely on it.

“Everyone is feeling the pinch at the moment, and it’s important to help those who are struggling,” said Williams’ quality control manager Bawo Koroma. “The work Eastgate Academy’s food bank does is vital in supporting families and people in need. Williams is proud of being a Kings Lynn company and will always support the local community where it can.”
