Africa and China sign MoU

U‑3ARC president Madi Sakandé signs the MoU with Li Xiaohu, vice president and secretary-general of the Chinese Association of Refrigeration

CHINA: U‑3ARC, the Union of African Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Associations, has signed a signed a memorandum of understanding with the Chinese Association of Refrigeration.

The signing in Beijing on 8 April is said to signify a new phase of technical cooperation between the two bodies, focusing on training, standardisation and the exchange of expertise. 

Areas of collaboration will include sharing technical information to support training programmes; cross‑participation of experts in conferences and professional events; co-operation on standards, technical codes and competency assessment systems; mutual dissemination of publications and sector‑related news.

The agreement also opens the door to joint initiatives in innovation, particularly in energy efficiency, environmentally friendly refrigerants and solutions tailored to African contexts.
