AHR set to be record breaker

008_h

USA: With just over two weeks to go the 2014 AHR Expo in New York, the organiser is already predicting a record-breaking event.

The show, which takes place from January 21-23, will be the largest hvacr exposition ever held in the Northeast. More than 1,800 companies have reserved 387,000ft2 of exhibition space, exceeding the record-breaking exhibit space reserved for the AHR Expo in 2008 – also in New York – by nearly 6%.

“Based on the record amount of exhibit space already reserved, the attendee pre-registration numbers and the total hotel rooms booked, we could be on track for another record-breaking event,” commented Clay Stevens, president of International Exposition Company, which produces and manages the AHR Expo.

The 2008 AHR Expo attracted nearly 58,000 total visitors, including a record-breaking 39,000 attendees from over 138 countries.

“With economic expectations steadily improving, exhibitors will be unveiling hundreds of new products and a variety of energy-efficient solutions that HVACR professionals can experience for the first time at the world’s largest HVACR exposition,” Stevens concluded.

The 2014 AHR Expo is co-sponsored by ASHRAE and AHRI. The Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Institute of Canada (HRAI) is an honorary sponsor.
