Air handler results from Fujitsu/GIH tie-up

ITALY: An inverter-controlled air handling unit is the first product of the collaboration between Fujitsu General and Italian air conditioning manufacturer GI Holding.

Designed in Europe, the air conditioning system pairs Fujitsu’s Airstage VRF heat pump condensing units as a heat source to the AHU made by GIH.

Five models of air handling unit are available from 10hp-36hp, with cooling capacities from 25-96kW and heating capacities of 31.5kW-100kW.

The AHU is the first product resulting from the collaboration signed by Fujitsu and GIH in 2017. The deal, described as a comprehensive tie-up of products for overseas markets including Europe, included the joint development of air conditioning units by combining the technology strengths of both companies.

GI Holding was formed in 2000 and offers a wide range of equipment including chillers, air handling units, fan coils, rooftop units and close control equipment. Brands include CLINT, KTK Klimatechnik, Montair and Novair.

Fujitsu says that, going forward, it intends to promote alliances and cooperation with other companies to expand its commercial air conditioner lineup and improve its VRF and other inverter-controlled heat pump technology.
