Ambienta acquires Bonera Refrigerazioni

ITALY: Frigoveneta, the Verona-based commercial and industrial refrigeration contractor has acquired Bonera Refrigerazioni Srl, a family-owned company specialising in the design, installation, and after-sales servicing of industrial refrigeration systems.

Established in 1975 and headquartered in Ome (Brescia), Bonera mainly serves the food and beverage sectors, enjoying a strong position in different segments.

Currently led by Mario and Alessandro Bonera, the company is a trusted supplier to a premium customer base that includes several key players operating in sectors such as dairy and bakery.

The founding family will retain a minority stake and will continue to play a key role in the business.

“Bonera enables us to further expand our reach within the industrial refrigeration space, addressing the adjacent markets of food and beverage and integrating complementary skills within those segments,” commented Frigoveneta CEO Marco Rampichini.

This latest acquisition marks Frigoveneta’s second add-on investment since asset management firm Ambienta acquired a majority stake in the business last year. In February, it acquired Verdellin-based  industrial refrigeration business Mercuri Angelo Frindes.
