Andrea Cavalet elected president of Eurovent ME
4th May 2024UAE: Andrea Cavalet, general manager of Epta Middle East, has been elected president of Eurovent Middle East.
The elections during the group’s AGM on Thursday (May 2) also saw Systemair’s head of group public affairs Morten Schmelzer voted in as vice-president.
This year’s election also saw the addition of the group’s first female board member in Lubna Shaikh, senior business development manager at Trosten, the Dubai-based centralised air conditioning and kitchen ventilation equipment manufacturer.

Marco Duarte (general manager, EBM-Papst Middle East)
Dani Elamana (technical director, Camfil Middle East)
Benjamin Görge (sales director, Robatherm)
Fred Penhall (general manager, Carel Middle East)
Srinivasan Rangan (senior director engineering, Taqeef)
Francesco Scuderi (borne board member, Eurovent Association)
During the meeting, members approved an updated working plan, which includes further initiatives in education and awareness raising, a stronger focus on the refrigerant transition in light of the expected ratification of the Kigali Amendment by GCC countries and strategic partnerships with regional organisations active in the field of capacity building.
