Arkema refrigerant prices up 15%

Arkema-hqFRANCE: Arkema has become the latest manufacturer to announce price increases across its range of refrigerants from January 1.

The increases, which affect packaged and bulk-grade sales of its Forane-brand gas in Europe, Middle East and Africa, add 10% to the cost of R134a and 15% across its range of blends.

Forane refrigerant blends include R404A, R407A, R407C, R408A, R409A, R410A, R427A and R507A.

Similar increases on the higher GWP refrigerants have already been announced or are expected by the other manufacturers in anticipation of reducing supply due to the European F-gas phase-down.
