Armacell ground-breaks new Bahrain plant
BAHRAIN: Insulation company Armacell has formally begun construction of a new manufacturing facility in Bahrain with a groundbreaking at the Bahrain International Investment Park (BIIP).
Due to start production in 2018, the factory will manufacture a comprehensive range of products, including high-density materials and elastomeric insulation for heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
Establishing a manufacturing facility in Bahrain is part of Armacell’s goal to grow the group’s manufacturing footprint in the Gulf Region. Located at the BIIP high quality 247 hectare business park, the plant will initially support approximately 100 jobs.
According to Armacell president and CEO Patrick Mathieu, the new greenfield production site will reinforce the company’s commitment to the Gulf Region, strengthening its presence in a market in which it has been operating since 2008. “We are excited to begin our operations early next year, benefiting from Bahrain’s modern business environment, central location and world-class infrastructure,” he said.
