Aspen acquires Australian component supplier Sky

AUSTRALIA: UK condensate pumps and accessories manufacturer Aspen Pumps has acquired Australian HVACR component manufacturer and supplier Sky Refrigeration.

Sky Refrigeration was founded in 2010 and is based in Lilydale, Victoria. It supplies a  wide range of products including pressure vessels, fittings, valves, tools and lubricants. Brands include Mueller, Westermeyer, Harris, BVA and Ritchie Yellow Jacket.

Pete Schey, Sky Refrigeration’s co-founder, said: “The prospect of joining Aspen Pumps Group came out of the blue, but we had always enjoyed bouncing idea off the guys at Aspen and getting new views of the market. After some discussion, we realised that this was an opportunity to grow the business and Aspen was the perfect partner.”

Aspen has had a presence in the region since 1999 and acquired its Australian distributor, Pro Pipe Supplies, in 2015. The group company recently received renewed backing from private equity investor Inflexion.
