Beijer Ref a major player in Australia

SWEDEN: Refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref has completed its acquisition of Heatcraft Australia, making it a significant player in the Australian market.

The acquisition from Lennox also includes a Singapore sales office, a manufacturing unit in China, and more than 5% of the shares in theThai compressor manufacturer Kulthorn Kirby.

With the acquisition of Heatcraft Australia, Beijer Ref becomes a significantly stronger player in Australia. For Beijer Ref’s region Asia Pacific, total annual sales will represent around 19% of Beijer Ref’s global sales, compared to 10% today.
