Beijer Ref buys French ac distributor
SWEDEN: Refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref has expanded its reach in France with the acquisition of HVAC distributor GH2C.
Established in 2008, GH2C is based in Lyon and also has a sales office in Grenoble. The company has 11 employees and a turnover of approximately €5.8m.
Amongst the products offered, GH2C is also a distributor of Daikin and Toshiba air conditioners to both the commercial and residential markets.
GH2C adds to Beijer Ref’s existing three refrigeration and HVAC wholesalers in France. It already owns the top two wholesalers GFF and Cofriset, who have 68 branches between them, as well as Delclim SAS with its nine outlets.
“The acquisition of GH2C further strengthens our position in our largest market France, and in Southern Europe as a whole,” commented Beijer Ref CEO Per Bertland. With demand for comfort cooling continuing to grow in the region, Per Bertland added: “To be able to complement our offer with full product ranges of leading brands, as well as an expanded distribution presence, generates further market opportunities for Beijer Ref.”
