Beijer Ref completes Refra purchase

SWEDEN/LITHUANIA: Beijer Ref has completed the acquisition of Lithuanian HVACR equipment manufacturer Refra.
In August 2026, Beijer Ref signed a binding agreement to acquire 90% of the shares in Refra, with an option to acquire the remaining shares.
Following unconditional approval from the Lithuanian competition authority, the transaction has now been completed.
Established in 1994 and headquartered in Vilnius, Refra has an annual turnover of approximately €45m. From its 12,000m2 factory in Vievis, Refra supplies equipment to western and southern Europe, the UK, the Middle East, the Mediterranean and Central Asia.
The company specialises in custom-engineered cooling and heating solutions using “natural” refrigerants such as CO2 and propane. Building on its heritage in CO₂ refrigeration, the company has evolved into a leading European provider of propane chillers and heat pumps.
Refra will continue to operate under its existing brand.
