Beijer Ref plans new Australian HQ

AUSTRALIA: Refrigeration wholesaler Beijer Ref Australia and Beijer Ref subsidiary company Kirby, are to move to a new $48m purpose-built industrial property at Bankstown Airport in Sydney’s west.

The 22,000m² manufacturing and distribution centre will include 1,400m² of office space, will become Kirby and Beijer Ref Australia‘s headquarters.

It is expected to be in operation by November 2020.

Kirby is one of the largest refrigeration and air conditioning equipment OEM and HVAC&R wholesalers in Australia with over 60 outlets. The business, formerly known as Heatcraft Australia, was acquired by Beijer Ref for SEK450m in 2018.

Beijer Ref Australia was formed following the acquisition of Patton and Realcold in 2015.
