Beijer Ref to buy Refspecs in New Zealand

NEW ZEALAND: Swedish wholesaling group Beijer Ref has signed an agreement to acquire New Zealand HVACR wholesaler Refspecs Refrigeration Specialties Ltd.

Headquartered in Auckland, Refspecs is a family-owned business, founded in 2010, with an annual turnover of approximately US$10.6m.

Beijer Ref CEO Christopher Norbye described Refspecs as “a well-established brand in the region” that strengthened Beijer Ref’s position in the HVAC and refrigeration sector locally. 

Refspecs will continue to operate under its own brand as part of Beijer Ref New Zealand, Beijer Ref’s subsidiary formed in 2015 with the acquisition of Patton and Realcold.
