GERMANY: Bitzer has agreed a new 10-year deal to supply refrigeration compressors for Maersk Container Industry’s Star Cool refrigerated container system.

Bitzer will continue to supply Maersk Container Industry (MCI) with its 2-stage Octagon semi-hermetic reciprocating compressors for the Star Cool refrigeration system, which has earned a reputation for its energy efficiency.

MCI and Bitzer have been working together for more than 15 years and the Star Cool system is now installed in over 250,000 reefer containers.

The compressor technology employed in the Star Cool also includes a dedicated electronic control developed by Bitzer subsidiary Lodam.
