GERMANY/UKRAINE: Compressor manufacturer Bitzer has opened an office in Kyiv (Kiev) to support its presence in the region.

The new office is affiliated with Bitzer Austria and will support its current Ukrainian wholesalers Domus Frigus and Schiessl GmbH.

Stressing the importance of the the Ukraine market, Bitzer’s chief sales and marketing officer Gianni Parlanti said: “We have built up a large market share and earned a lot of trust by working closely with our local partners in the past. We are certain that the Ukrainian economy and, in turn, the refrigeration and air conditioning market still have a lot of potential. Therefore, we want to grow throughout the region from our base in Kyiv and strengthen our business relationships through personal contact with users.”

Michael Eichberger, managing director of Bitzer Austria, said the new Ukraine office was of great significance due to it being the company’s first direct presence in the region. “Our staff at this office will serve not only the Ukrainian market, but also Azerbaijan, Georgia and the entire region,” he explained.
