Carrier introduces 42 SEER split

USA: Carrier has launched what it claims is the most efficient single-split air conditioner in North America.
The new Carrier 9,000 BTU (2.6kW) unit, launched at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, claims a seasonal energy efficiency ratio (SEER) of 42.
While the unit is said to offer heating and cooling flexibility to customers in a variety of climates, it claims 100% heating capacity down to -5ºF for customers in the colder climates of North America.
The system also features integrated relative humidity and occupancy sensors. The system includes wi-fi as a standard feature.
