Carrier plans new plant in Sri City

INDIA: Carrier has announced a $120m investment in a new commercial cooling equipment manufacturing plant on a 39-acre site in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh, according to local reports.

The new factory is expected to integrate green manufacturing practices and will create 3,000 jobs.  

It will complement Carrier’s existing 19-acre plant in Gurgaon, Haryana, built in 1988 and currently manufacturing a comprehensive range of HVAC solutions from light commercial units to large chillers.
