Caverion acquires German contractor

GERMANY: Finnish building services company Caverion has acquired German air conditioning and refrigeration designer and contractor Bott Kälte- und Klimatechnik. 

Based in Wiesbaden, Bott operates in the Frankfurt area where it has maintained a business relationship with Caverion’s Frankfurt branch. The company has eight employees. 

Caverion, which acquired the refrigeration solutions business of Huurre Group Oy, a leading supplier of CO2 based refrigeration systems, in 2019.  

Following the acquisition, Caverion Division Germany head Manfred Simmet said: “This is a bolt-on acquisition for us in cooling, which is one of our key growth areas in smart technologies. The demand for air conditioning is also increasing noticeably, supported by the Corona related subsidies, and with it the need for skilled employees. Caverion sees further growth potential in the field of sustainable cooling technology in the future.”
