Climalife app answers F-gas questions

Climalife-appFRANCE: Climalife has produced a new app which could solve many of the mathematical and logistical problems contractors and end-users will face with the new F-gas regulations.

One of the big changes to the F-gases is that requirements for leak testing will be based on CO2 equivalents of gas in the system rather than kg or tonnes.

F-Gas Solutions is Climalife’s mobile application that provides a useful calculator to tell you the GWP of the refrigerant used in an installation. By entering the refrigerant charge in kg into the app it will also tell you the CO2 equivalent tonnes for that refrigerant and charge.

In addition by choosing an application it will tell you which refrigerants are acceptable and any forthcoming bans or restrictions.

The Climallfe approved F-Gas solutions module offers professionals information on the range of      refrigerants available on the market and the solutions recommended by Climalife  regarding F-gas regilations for new and existing equipment.

Engineers and end-users will find a solution to suit their needs regardless of the type of application (air conditioning, heat pumps, domestic cooling, non-commercial refrigeration, transport/automotive) or the equipment chosen (single split, hermetically-sealed systems, centralised systems, etc), be it new or existing.

All commonly used refrigerants with an ASHRAE number are included. New products and blends under development will be added as they are released on the market.

The F-Gas solutions app will be available soon on Google Play and the Apple Store for i-phone and i-pad in English, French, Dutch and German.
