CompaNamic wins German sustainability award

GERMANY: The EBM‑Papst Group has won a German Sustainability Award Products 2026 for its CompaNamic oil-free turbo compressor.

Released in October last year, the CompaNamic turbo compressor was developed for the 1kWe to approximately 55kWe motor power range, and allows variable refrigerant flow quantities, while also requiring significantly less refrigerant due to a volume reduction of up to 90% in the compressor.

The 3kWe and 10kWe variants are said to be particularly suitable for use with refrigerants R290 and R1234ze(E) and are therefore ideal for heat pumps and refrigeration technology, for example in larger buildings and industrial applications.

Despite their low torque, the compact, high-speed internal rotor motors produce 3kWe at approximately 240,000rpm and larger variants up to 55kWe at around 60,000 rpm.
