Customs seizes 1,200 cylinders of R22

INDIA: Customs officers in Chennai seized 1,200 13kg cylinders of R22 found in a container that arrived last week from China, the Times of India has reported.
Officers from India’s Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) arrested two brothers, who run an import company in connection with the case.
The import of R22 is strictly regulated in India, with imports requiring a licence.
The cylinders, worth approximately £26,000, were found in a container hidden behind crates of calcium powder.
