Daikin adds two more European R32 units

Emura-and-FTXS-K
The new R32 Daikin Emura (top) and Professional models

EUROPE: Daikin has introduced two more R32 air conditioning units into Europe.

The two wall-mounted split system heat pump units are an R32 version of the award-winning Daikin Emura and Daikin’s FTXS-K, or Professional, model.

The two new models using the new “mildly flammable” low GWP refrigerant were announced yesterday by Daikin Germany. They join the existing Ururu Sarara R32 which was launched in Europe in late 2013.

The Daikin Emura has received several awards for its modern design, most recently the iF Design Award 2015. A number of energy saving functions, such as the weekly timer function, are said to provide both devices with a high seasonal efficiency. The Daikin Emura meets the highest energy efficiency class A +++, the Professional achieves A ++.

With a low noise level and whisper-quiet operation, the wall-mounted units are also suitable for installation in noise-sensitive environments such as bedrooms. A motion sensor ensures draught-free air conditioning and switches to economy mode when the rooms are unoccupied.

Both indoor units are wifi-enabled for control by smartphone or tablet from any location.
