Daikin aircon profits up 6%

JAPAN: Daikin has reported net sales of JPY2,478,798m ($16,120m) in the half-year to the end of September, down 0.6% on last year.
Operating profit was similar to the same six-month period last year, but ordinary profit was JPY241,887m ($1,580m), up 7.9%.
Total sales for its main air conditioning and refrigeration business segment decreased 0.4% to JPY2,306,852m ($15,070m), while operating profit increased 6.0% to JPY232,320m ($1,517m).
