Daikin global sales up 8.1%

JAPAN: Daikin has reported global sales for the year to the end of March of JPY4,752.3bn (US$32.7bn)), up 8.1% on the previous year. 

Operating income was JPY401,669m (US$2,765m), up 2.4% year on year.

Total sales in Daikin’s air conditioning and refrigeration business segment increased 8.8% year on year to JPY4,384,548m (US$30,196m). Operating income increased 5.3% year on year to 350,987m yen (US$2,418m).

Total sales in Daikin’s chemical business segment, which includes refrigerants, were JPY263,028m (US$1,814m), down 0.3% year on year.
