Daikin sales grow 12%

JAPAN: Daikin’s 2017 financial reports show increased revenue and profits for the eighth consecutive year.
Sales for the year to March 31 2018 grew by 12% to JPY 2,291bn (US$20.89bn), compared to the previous year. Operating profit grew by 10% in the same period to JPY254bn (US$2.32bn).
Air conditioning sales expanded in all major regions. The EMEA region saw sales grow by 20% to JPY301.1bn (US$2.75bn). Much of this increase was down to the introduction of R32 air conditioning units.
