Danfoss signs screw compressor deal

DENMARK/ITALY: Danfoss Commercial Compressors has entered into a strategic collaboration with Italian based RefPower Srl to sell its Palladio screw compressors to the European market.
Ranging from 180 to 500kW, the series of 12 compressors with integrated inverters are suitable for large capacity heat pump and chiller applications operating in large buildings.
Under the agreement, Danfoss will have sales and marketing exclusivity for the screw compressors which will be branded Danfoss Palladio.
RefPower will be responsible for further developing and manufacturing the technology and will provide technical support as needed.
Formed in 2014 and based in Lonigo in the province of Vicenza, RefPower has a long-term experience in screw technology, many of its employees having previously worked for RefComp, the Italian refrigeration compressor manufacturer and the first company to have designed and built compressors in Italy with twin-screw technology and compressors with integrated inverter.
