14th June 2025
ITALY: Beniamino Fambri, holder of a laurea magistrale in energy engineering from Italy’s Politecnico di Milano, was a double winner of student awards at this month’s 15th CLIMA World Congress.
The competition on June 5 saw top student talent from around the world go head-to-head in the REHVA Student Competition and HVAC World Student Competition.
REHVA, the Federation of European Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning Associations, organises its annual competition to honour and recognise the best master’s or bachelor’s thesis on any topic in the HVAC field.
The HVAC World Student Competition, formerly known as the REHVA World Student Competition, is organised in collaboration with its four MoU partners: ISHRAE from India, ABRAVA from Brazil, ASHRAE from North America, CCHVAC from China, and SAREK from Korea. The competition is held every three years during the CLIMA World Congress.
Beniamino Fambri, a pre-sales energy engineer with INNOVA Energie, took both prizes for his paper Detection and diagnosis of operating faults of a water-to-water heat pump using artificial neural networks.
