USA: Described as a milestone in providing liquid cooling solutions for next generation data centres, the FläktGroup has produced its first 2.5MW DX CDU for a customer in the USA.
Built at FläktGroup’s Arkansas facility, the refrigerant-based CDU has been specifically engineered by a team of experts to address the needs of modern data centre applications.
“As the industry increasingly adopts liquid cooling to support AI applications, this project demonstrates our ability to develop innovative solutions that address emerging customer challenges while strengthening our position within the rapidly evolving data centre cooling market,” said FläktGroup’s executive vice-president, data centres Americas, Marc Hayes.

Unlike conventional liquid-to-liquid systems, this CDU utilises refrigerant-based cooling technology and was developed in a close collaboration with the customer to meet the specific project requirements.
The first phase of the project aims to serve a 25MW data hall. A second phase, will double the capacity to 50MW. This will form part of a wider campus with a total planned power capacity of 200MW across eight development phases.
