Güntner names Tata sports arena

HUNGARY: Commercial refrigeration component manufacturer Güntner has had a sports venue in Hungary named after it.

The 1,500m2 Güntner Arena, in the town of Tata, acts as a sports facility for three schools and is the training location for the local handball and volleyball clubs. The facility can also be used for events such as exhibitions and concerts.

Tata, in north west Hungary near the border with Slovakia, is home to Güntner’s largest production facility. Founded in 1990 by Güntner and Tata Hűtőtechnika (the former state-owned refrigeration cooperative), the factory  evaporators, condensers, air coolers, dry coolers and switch cabinets as well as special, customised solutions for European customers.

Güntner’s sponsorship of the new sports hall builds on the company’s commitment to local sports development and, in particular, its long-term support of the Tata Athletic Club.
