14th March 2025
HUNGARY: Haier Europe Appliances Holdings has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of Klima Kft, a Budapest-based air conditioning wholesaler and contractor, from E.ON MyEnergy.
Established in 1990, Klima is one of the largest wholesale and retail air conditioning and heat pump companies in Hungary. In addition, the company also undertakes building engineering design, construction, and service and maintenance.
Klima currently sells a range of products from leading brands including Daikin, Samsung and Hitachi, in addition to Haier.
Haier says the transaction will enhance Haier Hvac Europe’s presence in the Hungarian market and expand its reach to neighbouring countries in Central-Eastern Europe.
“This acquisition represents a significant step in our strategic growth plan,” said Bob Cowlard, CEO of Haier Hvac Europe. “By bringing Klima Kft into our portfolio, we will leverage their expertise and territorial presence to provide even greater value to our customers and stakeholders.”
The share purchase agreement allows Haier Hvac Europe to acquire Klima’s assets, channels and skills, especially in the projects segment.
The transaction is expected to close by the end of Q2 2025, subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
