Hudson Technologies CEO steps down

USA: Refrigerant products and services provider Hudson Technologies has announced that its chairman, president and CEO, Brian Coleman, has stepped down from the role.

Coleman has led Hudson Technologies since the death of company founder Kevin Zugibe in June 2020. He joined Hudson Technologies as chief financial officer in 1997 and was later appointed president and COO in August 2001.

Thanking Coleman for his dedication and contributions, Vincent Abbatecola, Hudson Technologies’ lead independent director said: “During his tenure, particularly in the difficult time after the passing of our founder Kevin Zugibe, Brian’s leadership and financial acumen allowed the company to further strengthen its competitive positioning in the marketplace while also transforming its balance sheet.”

Abbatecola said that the board was in late-stage evaluation and conversation with CEO candidates and expected to announce an appointment in the near term.

Current chief financial officer Brian Bertaux has assumed CEO responsibilities on an interim basis.
