Hydrocarbon barriers is webinar topic

BELGIUM: The barriers to the uptake of flammable hydrocarbon refrigerants will be the subject of a free webinar on April 25.

Organised by the EU-funded project LIFE FRONT, the webinar will outline the projects objectives and expected outcomes, as well as the work completed so far. Industry project partners will explain ongoing testing of hydrocarbon-based equipment, focusing on leak size and mass flow refrigerant release.

LIFE FRONT is funded under LIFE, the EU’s financial instrument supporting environmental, nature conservation and climate action projects. It is led by “natural” refrigerants group Shecco in partnership with the European Environmental Citizens Organisation for Standardisation (ECOS), German environmental consultancy Heat GmbH, commercial refrigeration manufacturer AHT, Swedish heat pump manufacturer NIBE and heat pump and chiller manufacturer AIT-Deutschland.
