IKEA project is a PRO winner

EUROPE: The application of gas-fired heat pumps and VRF air conditioning to an IKEA store in Birmingham, UK, is one of the winners in this year’s Panasonic PRO Awards.

The PRO Awards, were first introduced last year to highlight the best European projects using Panasonic heating and cooling systems.

The awards attracted entries from seven European countries, all competing for best-in-class in residential, hospitality, retail and commercial categories. The eight winners receive a trophy along with a trip to Japan as guests of Panasonic.

This year’s winners were:

Best Hospitality Project
IJT for Hotel Monument 5* (Spain)

Best Residential Project
Heat Merchants & Bridgedale for Marina Village in Greystones (Ireland)

Best Retail Project
Logicool for Ikea (UK)

Most Innovative Project
ICG Ltd for Soapworks (UK)

Project Demonstrating Best Energy Performance
KlimaShop! GmbH for Legoland (Germany)

Panasonic’s Innovative GHP Technology
División Empresas (El Corte Ingles) for Hotel Ayre Atocha (Spain)

Special Recognition award
Crystal Air for the Zalando project (Ireland)
