Illegal R22 seized in Sri Lanka

Colombo is Sri Lanka’s largest city

SRI LANKA: An illegal consignment of around 200kg of R22 have been seized by authorities in Sri Lanka.

According to the Daily News, the refrigerant was discovered following a raid by Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) officers on an importer in Sri Lanka’s largest city, Colombo.

Valued at around €12,000, the refrigerant had been imported without proper documentation and the importer did not have a licensed import quota.
