IPCOM to acquire French distributor Le Froid Pecomark

BELGIUM/FRANCE: IPCOM, the Belgian group of HVAC equipment and insulation solutions suppliers, is set to acquire a majority stake in French distributor Le Froid Pecomark.
Established in 1949, Le Froid Pecomark supplies refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation equipment through 19 branches across France. Its central warehouse and support teams are based in Lyon.
The IPCOM group includes UK and Ireland distributor RSL, Spanish suppliers AREA Cooling and Gaisven, and Croatian company TRITEH.
According to IPCOM, the transaction further accelerates the development of its HVACR activities, said to be a key strategic pillar of the group’s long-term growth ambitions.
The Spanish company Pecomark will retain its position within the company and will remain a strategic shareholder in the business. Current CEO Philippe Pechet will continue to lead the company.
“Le Froid Pecomark’s strong market position, recognised expertise and customer-focused culture make it a perfect fit within our group,” said IPCOM CEO Remco Boerefijn. “There are very clear areas where we can learn from each other, surely leading to benefits for our customers. We see significant opportunities to create synergies with our existing HVACR and insulation businesses across Europe.”
IPCOM operates through a network of more than 100 outlets across 22 countries and employs more than 2,500 people.
